How can an accuracy standard be different from one product to the other?
The mechanical gauge you're looking at is certified to ANSI Grade B40.1 International Accuracy Standards, which is the gold standard when assessing commercial grade mechanical tire pressure instruments.
Is it possible for the gauge to hold the pressure reading when it is removed from the tire?
If you want to lower the tire pressure without removing contact with the tire, you can hold the reset button in and monitor the air pressure drop after the gauge is read.
