The appliance lets me know it's preheating after I set my custom specifications for cooking, including temperature and time needed for the food to be done.
The controls are easy to understand and use. Everything is touch control and the buttons have been responsive. Changing cook time and temperature is done through up/down controls, so there is no need to type in a string of numbers like on a microwave.
The unit is easy to operate, does not smoke, leaves lovely grill marks on the meat, and is easy to clean.
The air-fryer has a forced pre-heat cycle that takes 4-7 minutes, then I insert the food and close the lid before the timer starts. I also like the OP401 procedure where I can place food in the unit and walk away till it's done. The presets are not easy to operate and I have faced inconvenience while using it.

The air fryer is a good size and eliminates the need for a couple of other appliances, but takes up quite a bit of counter space.

During the preheating stage for roasting, the air-fryer made a loud sound multiple times and started vibrating and rattling.
