Neilmed Sinus Rinse is an easy squeeze bottle system that allows you to deliver the saline nasal solution with positive pressure. Daily rinsing is safe and will keep your nasal passages clean, healthy, and open. Packets contain a mixture of USP grade sodium chloride & sodium bicarbonate. You can store boiled water in a clean container for seven days or more if refrigerated. Distilled, micro-filtered, or commercially bottled water are also good choices for dissolving the mixture. Do not use tap or faucet water unless it has been previously boiling for five minutes or longer as boiling sterilizes the water. Don'T use non-chlorinated or nonultra (0.2 microns) filtered well water until it is cooled to lukewarm or body temperature. Most users find that rinsing twice a day is beneficial, similar to brushing your teeth. Many doctors recommend sanitizing 3-4 times daily or for special circumstances, even washing up to 6 times is safe - follow your physician's advice. Air-dry the Sinus Rinse bottle, cap, and tube on a paper towel, lint-free towel or use NeilMed NasaDOCK (sold separately) to replace the bottle every 3 months. While our bottle is dishwasher safe, the water jets for your safety, do not use tap or faucet water for dissolving the mixture unless it has been previously boiled for five minutes or more.
