The vacuum cleaner is not very effective on carpets, but works well on hard floors. The suction power is quite strong, but not as strong as Roombas. You can adjust the vacuum intensity and the noise it makes.

The robotic vacuum has a self-emptying functionality, which means it can vacuum and self-empty several times before the base's bin needs to be emptied. Shark claims the big bin won't need to be emptied more than once a month, but it depends on the daily amount of dust and debris the robot vacuums.
