The type of metal you cut, the alloy of it, and the way you set up your saw make a big difference to your experience, and I do a lot of repetitive work with my band saw.

One of the best ways to get straight accurate cuts on a bandsaw is to use the proper blade and feed rate, and Bosch seems to make good blades - too bad Amazon doesnt carry this closer to a 14 tooth, which would be much more usable for most materials.

I usually don't use blades with less than 14 teeth per inch because they tend to cut slow, but after using the least expensive blade Amazon has, I might just contend with a slower cut.

I use these Bosch blades on my saw and they are still going strong, no need to put weight on the end of the saw to help it cut better.

I've cut steel by hand on my table top setup, but generally I'm making steel for my motorcycles and such, and I've cut all sorts of aluminum as well.

    Question & Answers

    Q:

The cost of blades is 1/3 of what I paid a few years ago, but I need to replace them because they are no longer useful.

    A:

If you have further questions, please call our Bosch Customer Service Representatives at 1-877-BOSCH-99 (1-877-267-2499).

    Q:

Will this work with a Craftsman 12 inch band saw?

    A:

The cover of your saw should contain information you need to cut metal.

    Q:

I don't want to buy Chinese anymore, where is this blade made?

    A:

I just got a blade that says it's made in the UK, and I'm pretty sure it's made there.

    Q:

Will this blade work on 304 stainless steel exhaust pipe and bar stock?

    A:

Yes. It will cut stainless steel, but not high carbon steel like 1095 or 15n20.

    Q:

Will this blade fit a saw that has a 65" blade?

    A:

If the pulleys are closer together than the 65" blade, it will be tight, and if they are less close together, you'll need some additional travel so you can put the blade on.
