If you own a Companion 8 band saw, you can find this one, and I work with a number of different woods, from hard woods and stabilized burl for knife scales and pistol grips to soft woods used in making doll house furniture for my grand daughters.

Thank you Amazon, we were there for us, and you made me laugh. I have used the Powertec blade on walnuts and cherry and still no sign of fatigue.

It arrived in a few days and so far it has been a good fit. I haven't been using it long, but I can't say much about it.

This blade is a tough size to find in hardware stores around me, so it was nice to find online, but I dropped a star because of the point where the blade was welded into a loop.

This blade is difficult to find in hardware stores, so it was nice to find it online.

    Question & Answers

    Q:

    What is the blade thickness?

    A:

I'm getting about 12 1/2 thousands on the main body of the blade, and about 18 to 20 thousands with the offset at the teeth, using a micrometer.

    Q:

I've bought other big box brands for this one and they don't fit, so I'm wondering if this will fit the Ohio forge 10" bandsaw.

    A:

I bought a 56 1/8 inch blade from Ohio Forge for my saw, and it fits great.

    Q:

Will this work with a craftsman 10” bandsaw?

    A:

If your existing blade is broken, there is no way to tell, unless you measure the length. You can use the saw for a tag, stick, and the owners manual will tell you what length of blade it requires.

    Q:

    What kind of tooth?

    A:

Don't expect to get far with wood teeth on soft metal, according to my dentist.

    Q:

Will this work with a Black and Decker 10 inch band saw?

    A:

I would assume that the saw will work if they are the same. This one is: POWERTEC 13165 High Carbon Bandsaw Blade 56-1/8” x 1/2 x.025 x 14tpi.
