What users have to say about StarTech.com 1 ft. VGA to VGA Splitter Cable M/F Dual Monitor Video Cable Splitter
I don't have to do anything other than adjust the monitor resolution down a couple clicks so the TV can display as a monitor, start streaming the shows on Hulu, Netflix, Crackle, etc, and then turn the monitor off.
I wouldn't recommend this if you're not happy with the signal quality. I was hoping to be able to use this as a permanent connection to my Xbox 360 and also allow for a quick connection to my laptop for dual screen when I wanted it.
This is the first VGA splitter that I have found that seems to hold up to the rigorous set up and tear downs, and it is very sturdy.
I use it to have a computer screen on my tv at the same time, and it works great. my audio cable is very long because it is an audio and video, but it works great.
The product is well made and works well, and it's a good value. There is no loss of quality with the split monitors, and there are no weird side effects that I have experience with other products.
Will this work if I connect my 32inch tv and 20inch monitor to my pc?
It worked with two monitors in my application.
If I output my laptop signal to a computer monitor and a TV, what will happen?
This is designed to split the signal.
Is it possible to have a different page pulled up on each screen if I have the same picture on both screens?
The same picture can be seen on both screens.
Will this work for two separate monitors if my video card only has one vga port?
If it does work, the picture quality will not be the same, but I used it and it worked well.
Is it possible to have two different screens up at the same time?
You can have 2 screens up at the same time from the one computer, but you may have to adjust the screen resolution on the PC if you are splitting video to TV via an RGB cable.
