I purchased the unit and placed it in an area where I knew the pests were very active. Within two days, the activity seemed to subside
The sound of the sonic-repellent is noticeable outside the garage door and it provides some deterrent for the other daily driver parked outside.

At the lower end, the volume is touchy and goes from off to moderately loud. I could hear it through the wall of my building about 30 away even at the lowest sound level.
The animal noise setting can be obnoxious, but I can turn down or turn off the volume entirely.

There is a small green light that blinks to indicate that the device is on and working, but it is not bright enough to disturb my sleep. It is barely noticeable even in a dark hall.
The sonic-repellent's lights and sounds are disturbing to watch, and the high pitch sounds are mostly inaudible, though I can hear them a little. I advise not to place the device in an open room with the light features on. You can choose to turn them off, if you wish.
