I have found that the air conditioner can cool a 300 square ft room from 74 degrees to 64 degrees in roughly 20-30 minutes, with the 12k btu unit taking maybe 10 more minutes.

I found the installation of this unit tricky and had to measure and cut the window kit to fit the window size. The instructions required drilling holes in the window sash, which I did not do. I also faced difficulty in inserting the exhaust hose in the window kit. This review expresses my negative feedback with respect to the feature: installation ease of room-air-conditioners.
