It only took 5 minutes to install and I was taking a bath the same day it arrived, so why add more to the already overflowing?

This does not come out when you turn it on/off, pull it up and shower, even though she showed me a pile of hair she pulled from the drain.

I found that there were only a limited number of options for stoppers and that most of them are made of plastic and have the same issues as the one I already had, so I decided to stick with the one I already had.

She showed me a pile of hair she pulled from the drain, but to say I was proud was an understatement.

The new one looks great in the tub and keeps water in the tub when down.

    FAQ

    Q:

Will this fit most standard bathtubs or just the ones mentioned?

    A:

I think it's just for the ones mentioned. My drain did not fit so I had to return it.

    Q:

Does this thread have anything to do with it?

    A:

The smooth part at the bottom of the picture is a nut to protect the threads.

    Q:

Is it possible that this could work in an ancient cast-iron tub that used to have a drain plug with a long metal arm thing that went down into the drain abyss?

    A:

If you are interested in using Danco products, please know that the Danco 88599 Lift and Turn Tub and Bath Drain Stopper in Chrome wouldn't be compatible with your current application.

    Q:

Is it possible that it prevents hair from getting into the pipes?

    A:

I think this is the valve to drain the water, not for catching hair.

    Q:

I don't know why it won't screw in to the tube, it's 3/8".

    A:

When I screwed it in using the 3/8" threaded end, it didn't thread well and bottom out.
