It was easy to install, but I had to put it in the holes to make sure it wouldn't fall, and I wanted the bar to stay in place in case someone in my family needed hold on to it.
I used the Towels for the test, they were soaked, but I was happy to use the hook on the bathroom door which has a full length mirror, I broke it two months ago, but I heard about it again and again, it was blocked, but I was the one who broke
It is a little thinner than the original builders grade bar, but still very sturdy, since the bases are glue to the wall and not easy to replace.
These bars are much more sturdy than the ones my grandma had and they won't pop even if she leans on them for a second.
The wood bar I replaced did not flex as much as the plastic one, but it was still difficult to remove because it was impossible to damage one of the joints.
Question & Answers
Will it fit if it's spring-loading and can it be cut to fit?
Yes, it is spring loaded. The bar is made of plastic and can be cut to the correct size with a hacksaw.
Is this a solid piece of art?
I broke my first one without even trying, so I reinforced it with a steel bar and now I could do chin ups on it.
I need replacement towel bars that are 7/8" square. Is this plastic bar really 0.8" square?
Not at all 7/8" and not 3/4 inch either. I just received it and it's almost 10/16", which is too narrow to replace my broken one.
Does it come with end caps or is it just a hollow bar?
It's very easy to cut and install, and you don't need to worry about it being used as a grab bar. It's used as a towel bar, and not by someone who may, inadvertently, want to use it as a grab bar to enter the tub.
Is there a spring that would make this fit in my bathroom wall, where it is less than 24 in apart on the inside part of the fixture and more than 24 in apart on the outside?
The bar can be cut to fit prior to installing the end caps.
