  • What users have to say about Vortex Optics Ranger Laser Rangefinders

It takes three times as long to get the range reading back when you reach 1400 yards, and sometimes it takes as long as four or five seconds to get a reading, because it is hit and miss when ranging the rocks at over 1600 yards.

This is a great tool for long distance shooting and it's very accurate.

The phone was answered immediately and I spent ten minutes getting all my questions answered by the person on the other end of the line.

I used it to play golf and set to LOS mode, it was great, but I sometimes had to use the Scan mode to make sure I was on target.

I purchased this for my husband at Christmas and he loves hunting, so I had to give it to him.

Why would you need to buy a 2 or 3 year protection plan if it has a lifetime guarantee?

The 2 or 3 year protection plan is a warranty that Amazon automatically provides for most of their products.

Can it range in the dark, as it would be seen when the sun first breaks on hunt?

I have a 1300 that is very fast and reads in the dark.

Does it range through the blind window mesh?

I don't have a blind but I did try to range through my window screen, and it didn't bother me at all.

Does anyone know of a place that has a different color display?

It has a red display and can be adjusted for intensity.

Is it possible to measure the height of a tower with this?

It takes some math to determine if you are horizontal from the base of the tower or not. If you are not, you need to measure straight line distance to the top and horizontal distance to the bottom.
