About Canon EOS Rebel T7i US 24.2 Digital SLR Camera
Overall Feedback:
83% positive
79% liked the image quality, yet 21% believed it could be sharper
The camera's focus and image quality are acceptable, but images appear slightly blurry on the computer.
78% highlighted the image stabilization, however 22% found it insufficient
The built-in image stabilization resulted in a horrendous jelly effect, which was not suitable for my youtube vlogging. I had to turn off the image stabilization, which was initially the feature that drew me to the camera.
Even with L lenses and shooting on a tripod, I have noticed that the camera does not provide good stabilization.
84% found it quick to focus
I have improved the auto-focus and added buttons for quick access to display modes and ISO.
The auto focus on the T7i is fast and accurate, especially when using live view. I missed the touch and drag feature that some mirrorless cameras, like the Canon M50, have.
I am happy with the inclusion of Dual Pixel AF in T7i. It works fantastically and I am surprised that Canon has included this feature in a lower-end model.
I have a camera with dual pixel AF and phase detection which helps me focus on the subject quickly and accurately. My old camera did not have phase detection and it took quite some time to focus on the subject.
74% talked about the camera's easy connection
I found the camera's connectivity features useful for backing up photos and sharing them on social media. It can connect to a phone via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and even supports NFC for easy pairing.
78% appreciated the easy image transfer, although 22% found it difficult
Bluetooth transfer of photos is very convenient.
The camera has built-in WiFi for quick transfer to mobile devices with the Canon app. Bluetooth is only for camera control, not for transferring pictures.
