The washer is not very loud. I use it right next to a shared wall of my apartment and my neighbor confirmed that he doesn't even hear it. I make more noise taking a shower/bath than the washing machine.
I am unhappy with the noise level of the compact-washer due to the little plastic insert that is supposed to be put in the spinner, which makes a horrendous rattling noise.
