We will tell you how to remove pen ink from clothing in today’s article. No one wants to be at a place with blotchy inks on their favorite piece of clothing. Losing a precious piece of cloth because of ink stains is anyone’s worst nightmare. Let’s see how we can tackle this situation! Before we proceed, if you are someone who wants to know more on fountain pens, take a quick read of my blog, ‘Fountain Pens- An ultimate Buying Guide’.

How to Remove Pen Ink from Clothing?

Fountain pen inks are the easiest to remove because of their water-like consistency. The ink is thin and non-greasy. To remove the stain, at first you will have to act quickly. Fresh ink stains can be removed easily. Remove the excess of the stain carefully so that you don’t rub it inside the cloth. Then you can use rubbing alcohol, hairspray or sanitizer to remove the stain.

How to Get Pen Ink out of Carpet?

To remove pen ink out of your carpets, mix 1 tsp dishwashing liquid with lukewarm water. Dab a wet towel on the ink stain and carefully try to remove the stain. Repeat this process until there aren’t any remains left. Be cautious and do not tamper your fabric much.

How to Get Pen Ink off Skin?

Fountain pen inks aren’t really tough to remove from the skin. You should always try soap and water to remove the stain first. If that doesn’t happen, try using solvents like running alcohol or hairsprays. Try applying less pressure on your skin to avoid rashes.

How to Remove Pen Ink from the Wall?

To remove ink from the wall, rub alcohol and hairspray. If that does not help, try making a paste of baking soda and water. As baking soda can be harsh for your wall, try rubbing it very lightly. If you don’t have baking soda at home, use a mixture of ammonia, lemon juice and detergent. Apply the mixture on the wall and pat dry with a clean cloth.

How to Remove Pen Ink from a Leather Bag?

Dip some cotton in rubbing alcohol. Rub the mark with the cotton using some light strokes. Switch on your dryer and hold it a few inches above the bag till the stain vanishes completely. In the same way, you can also use an acetone-free remover to remove stains from your bag.

Fountain pens can be really fun to use but you should be careful of the spills they might cause. As you can see, inks can practically stain any corner of your house. Though the removal process is typical and doesn’t take much time, the stains can spoil a few expensive things. Having items like baking soda and rubbing alcohol comes handy to save you from such tricky situations. Hopefully, this guide has been helpful to you, so that next time you encounter any such situations, you will know what to do.
