TP-LINK WIFI extenders have a security issue that weakens a secure WiFi network. Despite complaints for over a year, there is no firmware fix or planned fix from TP-LINK.
I cannot set/change the password for the extended network using the wifi extender.

This extender is really stable and has not dropped out on 5Ghz bands, unlike the old one.
I can get around 550-600Mbps with no latency on my laptop by using the extender's network port.
