I moved the extender to my bedroom and after running the Ookla Speed test, I noticed a 100mbps increase in speed.
After using the extender, I noticed that my speed has improved to 70-80, but I am unable to get more than that.
Once I connected to the device via wifi, the speed dropped from 35-45mbs to 17-23mbs.
I am getting a data transfer speed of ~100Mbps on 5ghz and ~60mbps on 2.5ghz with the extender on stairs, on second floor.

The TP-Link AC1200 WiFi Extender (RE315) works great for extending the WiFi range to accommodate additional devices like Amazon Echo, Bass, iPhones, and Security Cameras located at the far end of the house.
I installed the wifi extender in a corner of the house behind a hot-water heater and washer/dryer. The high-end router (WiFi6 on a gigabit fiber connection) was only 50 ft away, but the wifi signal was badly degraded.
