I find the vacuum-sealer easy to operate and suitable for sealing thin, dry plastic bags. However, I suggest adding a manual override for the element to stay on full heat as long as the sealing bar is held down.
The vacuum-sealer requires a higher temperature setting than stated and needs to be left on for a few extra seconds after the light goes out.

The vacuum-sealer did not seal properly even after adjusting the heat setting. There were gaps and inconsistencies, and it melted ugly. There was no option to extend the timer and it did not have the excess cutter feature. I had to return it on the same day.
The seals on the 1.5 mil polypropylene bag are inconsistent. I have tried sealing it 10 times and each one was different and ineffective.
