About Stone Coat Countertop (1 Gallon) Epoxy Kit
Stone coat countertop epoxy is eco-safe, made in the USA, and has Zero VOC so you can restore old countertops right in place with no demo. With simple step-by-step directions, Stone Coat Countertop Epoxy is perfect to take your countertop project to the next level. Sand and polish with our polishing kit to extend the life of your project. Our epoxy system is designed to withstand heavy kitchen and bathroom use, excellent heat resistance, scratch resistance, and food safe. Our formulation includes top-tier HALS ingredients (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers) for maximum UV Resistance. We recommend pouring into the mixing container part B HARDENER first, followed by part A RESIN. This will ensure the epoxy is thoroughly mixed. Step 4 - Clear Coat: Apply an additional layer of clear mixed epoxy 24 hours after your color coat. Lightly sand with 220 grit to create a tooth for the next layer, wipe the dust with paper the epoxy will be very hard in 7 days and has full heat and UV resistance in 30 days. If a less glossy honed look is desired, you can sand it after 5-7-day cure time. We like to use dish soap and towels followed by our Liquid Smooth - it will make your epoxy countertops shine and smell wonderful.
