The vacuum works well on both floor and carpet.
I was pleasantly surprised by the vacuum's performance on carpeted areas and with large debris such as leaves.
On carpeted surfaces, the vacuum pushes hard and is not good. However, it works really well on hard surfaces, getting clumps of hair, dirt, and dust.

I have found that using the floor sweeper and extension tube is more effective for small debris than the crevice attachment while using the vacuum.
I love that I can easily swap out the brushes with the crevice tool and roller.
