While mixing, the sound of the mixer is comforting and not too loud.
This mixer is noisier than others, but I have gotten used to it and it's not unbearable.
I used the stand-mixer with the blender attachment and noticed a buzzing noise followed by the smell of burning electronics while making ice cream and milk.
The grinder made a noise and would spin until something was put in to grind, but it would not spin after making the noise.

There are no separate switches for each attachment. If the blender is in the compartment and turned on, the mixer will also spin.

The 9.5-quart stainless steel bowl offers ample space for large batches, making it perfect for entertaining or preparing meals for a hungry family.
The bowl of my stand mixer is huge and I will probably never use the capacity but its nice to know that its available.
