I have used the sound bar and compared its quality to the internal speakers, and they are equal.
I'm not sure what issues people are having with sound quality. Several times, I had to mute the TV using this sound-bar because I was not sure if the sound was coming from the TV or from outside. Based on my experience, the sound-bar has some issues.

I'm not satisfied with the light indicator for the volume; it needs substantial improvement. Using 3-5 dots that get dimmer or brighter as an indicator is something I've seen before and should have been avoided in this soundbar design.

I can hear the bass after adjusting the settings. Although it's not as good as big surround sound systems, I can still hear the difference between the regular TV speaker and the LG Sound Bar.

I can connect the sound bar to Bluetooth if I want.

The sound quality of this sound-bar is pretty good for a lower cost unit. Although it is not as good as Bose or super high quality, it is still decent.
I've noticed that the crystal clear sounds often become muffled and merge together, especially during action-packed scenes or when multiple people are talking. It becomes challenging to distinguish between sounds and words, and in complex scenes, I find myself having to rewind to catch missed dialogue or just accepting that some parts are indistinguishable.
