The soundbar has three EQ settings built-in, movie/music/news, with the latter being the closest setting to clear voice. It also helps in movies with overpowering sound effects.
Sound bar doesn't sound much better than the TV speakers, but the subwoofer can add a lot of depth, notably in 'movie' eq mode.
