The Shark IQ robot vacuum performs well on both hardwood floors and carpets, including area rugs with fringes.

The vacuum is much quieter than expected. There is noise created by the air going through it, but there is very little actual motor noise.
I compared the noise level of Shark IQ robot with my previous Roomba model and found that Shark IQ robot is much more quiet.

I have personally used the Shark vacuum and found that it picks up everything (within reason) in its path, including both area rugs, one with fringes. The suction power is impressive and I highly recommend it.
I am impressed with the suction power of the robotic-vacuum. The bot has no problem getting up close to the irregular line of our natural stone basalt fireplace and cleans this area of dust and such very well. It does better than I did with the vacuum and better than the housekeepers did.
