I had an issue with the first unit having a minor leak on the output side. I contacted customer service and they promptly sent out a new head unit for free. I followed the advice of the customer service representative and built up 15 layers of teflon tape on both sides, plus a thin layer of pipe dope (liquid teflon). Now, the unit is 100% leak-free.
After about a year, a small leak developed on my manifold and I had to call tech/warranty support about the issue.
The only drawback of this filter is the installation process. It is recommended to hire a professional plumber as the input and output thread are easy to mess up, which can cause a leak.
