I can accurately measure fractional inch differences in width as I move the device up and down the side of a window or doorway.
I have not checked the accuracy of the product, but the results I obtained while playing around with it have always seemed correct.

I have noticed two major issues with the device. Firstly, the display can only be read straight ahead and at any angle it cannot be read, making it difficult to use in tight spaces. Secondly, the Hold button is unreliable and sometimes it holds and sometimes it doesnt. I also have to repeat the measurement several times to get the Hold to work. This review expresses my negative feedback with respect to the feature: ergonomics.

After using it for several months and about 5 times, the laser only comes on for 1/2 second. I replaced the batteries, but it still has the same issue. I measured the battery voltage and it was over 3 volts.
