I am experiencing an issue with the weight stack of my home-gym. The set up (and number) of the pulleys creates considerable added resistance and/or friction, and thus more force is necessary to move the chosen weight.
The weight stack of this home-gym is not as advertised. I have asked the question 'How does a 125# stack get 300# resistance?' on different weight training sites, but I have still never gotten an answer to my question. Setting the pin at 100# on the stack, and you get no more than 100# equivalent of free weights (if that).
