I found that the new camera has a smaller field of view than the old one, which is disappointing. Upon measuring, I found the angle of view to be only 31 degrees, much less than the advertised 140 degrees in the product description.

I tested the night vision mode in a dark closet and was impressed with its ability to show facial expressions and smaller details.
During the daytime or if it's too bright, Night Vision mode gives a purple/pink cast, but it works nicely in dark areas with a scary movie type feel.
