Overall Feedback:
74% positive
76% liked the connectivity, while 24% disagreed
The heart rate monitor automatically connects to the bike and the app since the initial pairing. I have been using it for 2 weeks and have had no issues with connectivity.
I faced difficulty connecting my heart-rate-monitor with my phone via Bluetooth, but I was able to connect it through the Polar Beat application menu.
83% were satisfied with the accuracy, but 17% were not
I compared the heart rate from the Powr-Labs monitor to my Apple watch and a digital pulse oximeter and found them to be within a few beats of each other.
The arm band heart monitor is easy to wear and yields consistent and accurate heart info. It can be recorded by the Garmin GPS on bike rides.
The new monitor accurately reads my heart rate and outperforms the old monitor which frequently lost connection and had drops during my ride.
The heart rate monitor is accurate on a stationary bike but not while running. Extra movement from running disrupts the sensor, which is a common problem with wrist-based heart rate sensors on a watch.
71% were satisfied with the display, but 29% weren't
While working out, I can easily see the device display a dynamic graph of my target heart rate zone.
The heart monitor stopped working and I couldn't view the Powrlabs heart monitor rate on my Peloton bike table or TV.
90% appreciated the battery life
The heart-rate-monitor has a long battery life and is easy to charge. It also has great connectivity with my Garmin bike computer.
The heart-rate-monitor has a long battery life and lasts for 2 weeks between charges with an average usage of 3 hours per day.
The battery life of this heart-rate-monitor is insane and it lasts a very long time without needing to be recharged. I wish my Fitbit lasted this long.
The heart rate monitor automatically connects to the bike and the app since the initial pairing. I have been using it for 2 weeks and have had no issues with connectivity.
I compared the water resistance feature of Wahoo HRM with Garmin HRM. The Wahoo HRM can be easily removed from the band and rinsed in water, making it a better design than Garmin HRM.
The build quality of the heart-rate-monitor feels average and fragile, not solid at all, in my opinion.
