Overall Feedback:
87% positive
85% praised the adjustable cutting angles, while 15% found limited flexibility
I have tried tightening the swiveling head of the glass-cutting tool multiple times, but it remains loose.
89% praised the clean, precise cuts, but 11% experienced rough edges
I found the score lines crushing and the breaks not smooth.
I compared the cutting quality of this glass scorer/cutter with other brands like Toyo TC-600 or Gryphon Studio Glass Cutter and found it inefficient in scoring glass.
The head of the glass-cutting tool swivels around and is loose. I've tried tightening it multiple times. As long as I work hard to keep the head straight, it cuts okay.
I experienced poor cuts and wasted glass due to the oil not lubricating the scoring wheel.
85% appreciated the durability, though 15% experienced wear and tear
I noticed rusty brown floating gunk inside the oil reservoir of the tool after using it for a week.
81% found it easy to maneuver, while 19% faced difficulty
The package includes an oil dropper, making it super easy to fill the oil reservoir.
I compared this glass scorer/cutter with other glass cutters and was not able to efficiently score my glass.
85% liked the smooth, polished edges, but 15% encountered rough spots
I have done many Tiffany-method stained glass projects on difficult-to-cut glass and the extra money for Toyo more than pays for the less frustration and better results.
I noticed poor edge quality of the glass-cutting tool as the score lines were crushing and breaks were not smooth.
79% appreciated the built-in safety features, although 21% found them insufficient
I filled the tool and it did not leak oil, indicating safety features to prevent leakage.
I am concerned about the safety features of the glass-cutting tool, specifically the end cap used for filling the oil reservoir and tapping the glass. I worry that the threads will become loose or the acrylic will crack due to the tapping.
While making the first cut, the pin came out, causing the wheel to slant and come out of the tool, resulting in a messed up cut and glass piece for a picture frame.
I can turn the brass piece 45 degrees to guide the cutter for smaller cuts/angles, which is useful for doing things like circles.
