About Meidase S3 Pro Trail Camera 32mp 1296p Game Cameras
Overall Feedback:
65% positive
80% appreciated the weather resistance, though 20% didn't
I noticed that the camera was exposed to rain and there was no indication of water entering the camera.
The camera was exposed to rain but there was no water damage.
I faced the issue of moisture inside my camera behind the lens after using it for a couple of months, indicating that it may not be weather-resistant.
81% appreciated the night vision, though 19% found it mediocre
When I zoom in, the photos appear blurry, indicating that the camera's night vision feature is not up to the mark.
I have tried changing batteries and settings, but the camera fails to capture clear and detailed images in low-light or no-light conditions due to the IR sensor failing in less than a year.
82% appreciated the battery life, but 18% found it drained quickly
I am unsure about the battery life, but after taking 55 videos and 2000+ photos for 48 hours, the battery still shows 100%.
I used the camera and it ate 8 AA batteries in 24 hours twice after taking about 50 GB of pictures or videos.
82% liked the trigger speed, but 18% experienced delays
The side sensors work well to capture faster moving critters and there were few empty photos.
I am getting false triggers due to a few small branches in front of the camera.
The camera only captures either the ingress or egress, but not both.
I noticed that the camera was not triggered right away at the beginning of some activities.
82% were impressed by the detection range
The range of detection of Meidase cameras is outstanding. They often pick up deer from 50 yards away.
77% praised the images quality, but 23% experienced issues
I have other cameras with 2/3 the amount of pixels, but they are much clearer when expanded on the computer screen.
When I zoom in, the photos appear blurry even though they look nice un-magnified.
I noticed that the camera was exposed to rain and there was no indication of water entering the camera.
The camera was exposed to rain but there was no water damage.
I found that the camera couldn't store enough images and videos for extended monitoring periods. I ended up with 990 images on each camera in 24 hours. I had to retest the camera by adjusting the sensitivity to medium, and then it wouldn't trigger until I was within 25 feet.
I compared the image quality of the camera with my phone and found that the images and video were not as good as my phone. However, compared to all the other cameras in the test, they are exceptional. I was easily visible in the night time video at 90 feet, and could almost start to recognize myself at about 50 feet away. Based on my experience, I have negative feedback regarding the image quality feature.
