About Meidase P60 Trail Camera 32mp 1296p Game Camera
Overall Feedback:
78% positive
70% were happy with the memory capacity
I wish for a larger memory card storage capacity of 128 or even 256 GB, so I can place the camera and forget until vandalism is discovered.
71% found it weather resistant
I have been using the camera in the field for almost 3 weeks and it has faced various weather conditions like rain, frost, ice, snow, and some sun. The batteries are still full.
I have used the camera in rain, snow, and temperatures as low as -5 degrees without any issues except for one in almost 2 years.
77% appreciated the night vision
At night with a half to full moon, the camera takes good photos. Otherwise, it's too dark.
I determined the times the rats were coming into the yard and the paths they were taking with the help of night vision and photo sequencing.
76% were satisfied with the battery life but 24% weren't satisfied
I found that the camera runs on 8 double A batteries and covers hundreds of photographs. However, as the batteries wear down, the infra-red night illuminating system may fail to trigger.
I installed USB Rechargeable Lithium AA Batteries and the battery life is much longer lasting and worth the cost.
With the sensitivity setting on medium, the camera's battery life is always good for two weeks.
The camera has a good battery life. I have taken 10,000 quality photos and used it continuously for a week, and the battery storage indicator barely moved. I expect to get at least 4-5 months of operation in photo mode.
I found that the camera couldn't store enough images and videos for extended monitoring periods. I ended up with 990 images on each camera in 24 hours. I had to retest the camera by adjusting the sensitivity to medium, and then it wouldn't trigger until I was within 25 feet.
I compared the image and video quality of the camera with my phone. The camera captured clear and detailed images in low-light or no-light conditions. I was easily visible in the night time video at 90 feet, and could almost start to recognize myself at about 50 feet away. Based on my experience, I can say that the Night Vision feature is excellent.
The image and sound quality of this trail camera is better than other expensive brands.
