About Hamilton Beach Food Processor & Vegetable Chopper
Overall Feedback:
73% positive
74% praised its low noise level, while 26% found it too loud
The food processor scares me with its grating and terrifyingly loud sound.
The food processor is very loud, like a jet engine screaming at me. OSHA would mandate ear plugs for it.
I find the noise level of the Hamilton Beach processor extremely loud and high pitched even on the lowest setting.
The food processor is extremely loud and would have woken up the neighbors if I used it for a couple of pulses and finished one ingredient.
78% liked its powerful motor, while 22% found it underpowered
After usage, the motor smoked for several minutes.
After two months, the motor stopped working.
82% liked how easy it is to use
The food processor comes with a variety of attachments, including a slicing disc, shredding disc, and a chopping/mixing blade. The slicing disc is perfect for making thin slices of vegetables or fruits, while the shredding disc makes quick work of shredding cheese, carrots, or cabbage. The chopping/mixing blade is ideal for mincing garlic, chopping herbs, or mixing dough.
81% liked its durable build, yet 19% found it flimsy
After 5 years of use, my food processor is still in perfect condition and works just like new.
My food processor has been in use for 3 years and still works just as well as the day I opened it. Despite being washed many times and moved to a new house, it only has a few minor scratches visible on the plastic parts.
I am dissatisfied with the product as the mixing bowl is developing cracks after 8 months of occasional use, which will make the machine useless.
My processor's bowl cracked during the move, despite being wrapped in bubble wrap and cardboard, indicating that it is not durable enough.
79% highlighted its easy cleaning, whereas 21% found it difficult to clean
The cleanup process took about twenty seconds and it was easy to rinse.
The food gets stuck in the small pocket around the chute all the time and it's not easy to clean. The magic bullet is easier to clean in comparison.
My only issue with the product is that cleanup is not a strong point. Excessive amounts of byproduct accumulate on all the working surfaces and in unnecessary crannies inside the bowl. After a paper-towel wipe, my only recourse is to spray all the parts in the sink.
80% appreciated its large capacity, but 20% found it too small
I have a new food processor with remarkable power and an 8 cup capacity, which is double what my old one had.
When making small portions, I have to repeatedly open the container and scrape the walls with a spatula to finish the processing. However, the 8 cup capacity is good for large quantities.
75% liked the high-quality blades, but 25% found them dull
The blades are made of stainless steel and are dishwasher safe, making cleaning up easy.
The shredder blade is more of a mincer, not meeting my expectations.
I returned the unit because the blade was not powerful enough to cut through raw meats.
After using the food processor for 4 months, the blade has rusted a little.
I like the processor because it is easy to lock and activate without any struggle to line up the base.
