About Cuisinart DLC-2ABC Mini Prep Plus Food Processor Brushed Chrome and Nickel
86% appreciated its versatility
This food processor is a necessity in my kitchen for creating flavorful dishes from natural ingredients. It can be used to make a variety of dishes like garlic, olives, artichoke hearts, ginger, tomatoes, spinach, basil, clam sauce, hummus, and more.
I liked the option to spin the blade in two directions, utilizing both the sharp and dull edges of the blade.
The food processor is great for achieving a rough chop or an almost 'guacamole' consistency.
I have used the food processor to make salsa, chutneys, chopped veggies, chopped nuts, grind spinach, make ginger garlic paste, and even make dough for Indian flatbread. I have been satisfied with the outcome every time.
68% praised its low noise level, while 32% found it too loud
The product works well, but the high pitch noise it produces while chopping and grinding hurts my ears.
The food processor is producing an extremely loud, high pitched shrill sound when processing, which is not normal. It can be heard in another room, over a stereo T.V., by me, even with a hearing aid in one ear.
The food processor is too loud and it makes my baby cry every time I use it.
The motor noise is too loud, reaching high C# and two octaves above middle C.

79% liked its powerful motor, while 21% found it underpowered
After three months of use, my food processor stopped working.
87% liked how easy it is to use
I find the two direction chopping and slicing easy to use. Just push two buttons and pulse back-and-forth two or three times for a quick and complete job.
The food processor is lightweight, easy to store, and convenient for small tasks.
87% liked its durable build
I have been using it for over 30 years and it is very durable. I have not found anything as durable on the market.
I have been using the food processor for over two years and it is still working like brand new, making it durable and of good quality.
85% highlighted its easy cleaning, whereas 15% found it difficult to clean
Cleaning the food processor is easy for me. I just need to rinse and brush it when using it with fruits.
I had to clean the food processor with bleach and multiple Q-tips. No matter how careful I am, moisture and food get into the spindle. It takes forever to dry inside the spindle, even if I use dry Q-tips to dry it after cleaning. After a month, the metal rod on the food processor onto which I set the blade, starts to rust.
85% appreciated its large capacity, but 15% found it too small
For me, a 4 cup capacity is perfect to keep portions in check.
When using the food processor for liquids, it has the same capacity as the smaller bowl model. However, if I go over 1.5 cups of liquid, it will ooze down the tube when the blade is removed, making a mess.
The machine's functional capacity is lower than its four-cup capacity and its blades make it difficult to grind food, with a maximum capacity of only 1 to 1 1/2 cups.
I found that the food processor has a 2-cup capacity instead of the advertised 4 cups as it can only be filled halfway.
82% liked the high-quality blades, but 18% found them dull
The blades get dull over time and the motor has to work harder. No one suggests sharpening them.
The blade getting stuck in the bowl and taking a while to clean is not safe.
