I ordered the 8oz bottle on Amazon because I found an 8oz bottle that was cheaper than the more expensive one I was going to use to finish the chairs.
When my husband asked if I would buy fabric paint, I checked Amazon and found this one, but wasn't sure if it would work, but I did not realize it was easy to use, sheer, and didn't harden the fabric.
I decided to paint some of my clothes because my daughter is an artist and the product in the hand of an artist can produce exquisite pieces.
I have used fabric paint for a lot of my life, including painting t-shirts for many years, but usually use the squeeze bottle paints for the outlines, and then I use the acrylic paints with fabric medium for the rest of the design.
The texture and coverage of the paint was more or less what I was expecting, but it was manageable and easy to spread out.
Question & Answers
How do you wash clothing that has been colored so that it's coloring is preserved?
I haven't tried yet on this product, but many colors can be set by soaking overnight in a bucket of strong salt water.
How well does this work for block printing and stamp on cotton?
It works well, if you're wondering about the jaquard super opaque, I block print with it on dark fabrics.
How many t shirts could I paint with each jar?
I used this paint to stencil several towels and it didn't make a difference.
I want to know how to wash this paint from the stencil templates.
I use Murphy's Oil Soap to remove other acrylic paints from my stencils. But I wondered if it would work with this paint. I soak them in a strong solution and voila!
Is it possible to use these as fabric dyes?
The Textile Colors can only be thinned with 25% water and the paint won't perform like a dye.
