I had to go online and study other buyers' posts to figure out how to sync the remotes, door sensors, and motion sensors. I played around with a number of plug-unplugs of the receiving unit until I found that 3 plug-unplugs syncs them. This shows that I have faced issues with the remote monitoring capability of the diy-home-security-systems and have commented based on my experience.

I appreciate the customization options of the security system, especially the ability to adjust the volume and time of the alarm and choose between door chime+door contact vs door sensor. I prefer the door chime + contact so I know when my kids are going out.

The sensors are not great and often require opening and closing the door for them to register it as closed, indicating that the DIY home security system's alert accuracy is subpar.
