If an alarm is triggered, I will receive a notification on the app, indicating the good alert accuracy of my DIY home security system.
I tested the water sensor by putting a drop of water in it and instantly the siren went off, my phone got a notification, and less than 10 seconds later the monitoring center was calling me. This shows that the alert accuracy of the SimpliSafe sensors is instant and reliable.
I was supposed to receive text message notifications for alerts, but I only receive them occasionally, even after setting it up correctly and having multiple customer phone sessions with no results.
As the sensors age, false alarms become a problem.

The system came with dead backup batteries, but the company replaced them for free.
We have a battery backup and cellular back up in case of power loss in the system.
The batteries in our main unit are rechargeable but do not last long if power goes out, lasting only 12-24 hours.
The system worked for only 2 weeks after installation.

The installation took less than 15 minutes and was very easy.
The setup of the product was incredibly easy and intuitive. The physical elements were easy to put in place and the instructions clearly walked me through how and where to install it for optimal use.
It took a couple of efforts to connect to WiFi, but it worked out well.

The components are well built and the system is well designed and integrated. It can also be controlled with Apple watch.
I have complained about the limited integration with other smart home devices.

If you don't pay for monitoring, the system periodically announces "No connection to monitoring," which can be a security concern.
