About eufy Security 5-Piece Home Alarm Kit
Overall Feedback:
80% positive
65% were impressed with alert accuracy, however 35% weren't
The home base notifies of all open and close events detected by the sensors, which may be overwhelming for some. However, the controller app is easy to navigate and allows customization of sensor settings to minimize or turn off notifications.
The alarm has a major flaw with low volume and is not audible in the next room. I am not satisfied with the alert accuracy of diy-home-security-systems.
72% were satisfied with the battery life, whereas 28% encountered issues
I am dissatisfied with the battery life of the product. It only lasted for 5 months, which is unacceptable.
I had to recharge the battery multiple times each day, which is a negative feedback regarding the battery life feature of DIY home security systems.
90% found the installation easy
Installing the system was a breeze and took only an hour. It's battery operated and can be installed with glue strips or screws, both included in the package. Renters can opt for the glue strips.
The home base notifies of all open and close events detected by the sensors, which may be overwhelming for some. However, the controller app is easy to navigate and allows customization of sensor settings to minimize or turn off notifications.
I had to go online and study other buyers' posts to figure out how to sync the remotes, door sensors, and motion sensors. I played around with a number of plug-unplugs of the receiving unit until I found that 3 plug-unplugs syncs them. This shows that I have faced issues with the remote monitoring capability of the diy-home-security-systems and have commented based on my experience.
With the addition of a SIM card, I can customize the unit to be used either unmonitored or monitored by a service.
