About D1D9 Home Burglar Alarm System
Overall Feedback:
68% positive
69% were impressed with alert accuracy, however 31% weren't
The motion sensor is not animal friendly and too sensitive. I tested it myself and it picked up my cat jumping off the sofa from 15 feet away even though it is 7 feet high.
65% were satisfied with the battery life, whereas 35% encountered issues
After two weeks of use, all the batteries were dead. I suggest sending new batteries with the system.
I need to plug in the unit at all times and the battery died within the first night. I don't trust how long the charged unit lasts when leaving the house.
68% liked the remote monitoring capability, while 32% faced problems
I have found that the security system's base unit has a power backup that lasts for a few hours during a power outage. It also has remote monitoring capability and will immediately text and call if triggered, which has worked flawlessly.
I have noticed that the remote siren works inconsistently, which is a huge issue for me as I cannot hear the siren built into the unit if the remote siren doesn't work. This expresses my negative feedback with respect to the feature: remote monitoring capability of diy-home-security-systems.

I have noticed two major flaws in the security system. The first flaw is the absence of a vacation mode option, which means the schedule will turn on/off the alarm while out of town. The second flaw is the motion alert that announces 'you're being recorded' cannot be snoozed. My review expresses negative feedback regarding the alert accuracy feature of DIY home security systems.
I had to go online and study other buyers' posts to figure out how to sync the remotes, door sensors, and motion sensors. I played around with a number of plug-unplugs of the receiving unit until I found that 3 plug-unplugs syncs them. This shows that I have faced issues with the remote monitoring capability of the diy-home-security-systems and have commented based on my experience.
I can program the system to send messages to my phone over wifi, letting me know where the bridge happened. I can also use my phone to arm or disarm remotely.
