The motion sensor is not animal friendly and too sensitive. I tested it myself and it picked up my cat jumping off the sofa from 15 feet away even though it is 7 feet high.

I have found that the security system's base unit has a power backup that lasts for a few hours during a power outage. It also has remote monitoring capability and will immediately text and call if triggered, which has worked flawlessly.
I have noticed that the remote siren works inconsistently, which is a huge issue for me as I cannot hear the siren built into the unit if the remote siren doesn't work. This expresses my negative feedback with respect to the feature: remote monitoring capability of diy-home-security-systems.
