About VTech DS6151-2 2 Handset 2-Line Cordless Phone System for Home
Overall Feedback:
64% positive
69% were satisfied with the design; however, 31% found it unappealing
I found the display screen of the AT&T cordless-telephone to be much brighter and clearer, with better contrast between text/numbers and background.
I prefer the design of the AT&T cordless-telephone over the VTech model because of its more business-like appearance and user-friendly functions.
The phone is powerful and brilliantly designed with an ergonomic and simple-to-use interface.
The settings and software of this device seem to be designed for 1995 instead of 2020.
69% found the call management features helpful, but 31% didn't
Each phone shows whether the ringer is muted, what time it is, the length of the call, and more.
I found the call management features quite intuitive and was able to switch between two lines, use hold, etc. without looking at the manual first.
It's impossible to call back as the phone only displays the last 7 digits of incoming calls.
There is no flash for a message waiting. The charge button light should flash if there was a message instead of just the little envelope that can barely be seen on the screen since the charge light serves no real purpose other than to stay on constantly.
To clear the Caller Id log, I just need to hit the CID button, scroll through the first missed call, and clear the message.
To see who is calling, I have to use the CID button as the name and number of the incoming call only stays on the screen for a very short time and then disappears.
78% appreciated the sound quality ; nevertheless, 22% encountered distortion
The signal was clear and loud.
Every time I put someone on speaker, they complain that they cannot hear me.
I have noticed that the phone's speaker quality is poor with a lot of feedback noise.
The sound quality is poor and the phone system is a complete rip off. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I have to ask people to repeat themselves because the sound quality is poor.
I did not like the sound quality of the cordless phone, despite liking its technological features and display screen.
66% were satisfied with the battery life, although 34% found it drained quickly
My cordless phone's battery dies very quickly.
67% liked the range; however, 33% experienced limitations
The phone has a very good range and I have not faced any issues with it.
Based on my actual use, I am confident that the range could be farther.
I tested the cordless-telephones by leaving the building - with base on 2nd floor of office, I could walk 50+ feet outside building and still get a clear and loud, uninterrupted signal.
My cordless phone has a shorter range than my last set and gets crackly when I'm too far away in the store. I can't use it outside at all.
The phones have been great so far with long battery life, good phone range, clear sound, and are not easily damaged. The speaker option has clear quality throughout the shop and impound yard.
I appreciate the design of the cordless telephone, especially the smooth and sturdy buttons and the light yet durable handset.
