I like looking at the pan lid because it is well-made and has a good design.
I have noticed a design flaw in the product where the first seating surface is 8 inches instead of 7 inches with a raised lip. This causes a problem as a 7 inch pan would not sit properly on the curved glass surface which does not provide a flat sealing surface.
The glass insert appears foggy every time I wash and dry it, making it difficult to appear clean. It takes more than a minute to dry properly and flour sack dish cloths don't work well.
The lid is designed concave instead of convex, which is unusual. It fits multiple pots and pans as described.

I was disappointed to find that the lid gets extremely hot, despite being advertised to withstand up to 425 degrees. It caused burns on both my left and right arms in the same spot.
The metal trim gets extremely hot, especially on a gas stove, and it's easy to burn your arm when lifting it up. This could be a safety concern while using the product.
When the lid hits a certain heat temperature, it starts popping loudly, which could indicate that it is not heat resistant.
I burnt my wrist while lifting the lid without realizing because the steel edges get hot during use.

The pan lid is beautifully constructed with perfect metal work, lightweight, flexible to fit on a variety of pan sizes, and cleans up nicely.

The lid is fantastic.
