About QTECLOR Pot Cover Spill Stopper Lid - Thicken Silicone Boil Over Spill Safeguard
Overall Feedback:
80% positive
71% liked the modern and stylish design, though 29% thought it was outdated
I love this product and appreciate it every time I use it.
I like the concept of the lid but I am not convinced it is the best design.
The cookware-bakeware-lid holds a lot of water and when removed, it dumps water all over the place. This is a design flaw and it does not drain back in like other similar products.
79% found it easy to clean, while 21% experienced difficulties
Cleaning the cookware-bakeware-lids is easy and can be done by just popping it in the dishwasher.
I used the spill cover to handle a boil up on a pot of pasta I was cooking.
After cooking, I found it difficult to clean the residue left on the lid due to the ridges on top.
The cookware-bakeware-lid holds a lot of water and when removed, it spills water unlike my other lids that drain the water back in.
71% found the handles comfortable to grip, while 29% thought they were too small
The ridges on the top of the lid make it difficult to clean the residue left after cooking.
81% appreciated the heat resistance, though 19% experienced hotspots
The lid works great.
This cookware-bakeware-lid is not heat resistant enough to handle the cooking of sushi rice. The more glutinous rice creates a lot more foam, and because the center cap isn't attached to the lid, the steam and foam knocked the center cap out of place, letting out an excessive amount of steam.
72% appreciated the secure lid fit, though 28% experienced steam leakage
The lid works great and has completely stopped the splash over.
It is important to inspect the lid before using it. I had a small ring of silicone come off when washing it today, which is obviously a remnant from when they stamped the holes during manufacturing. This can be a safety issue if the silicone comes off in the food being cooked.
72% praised for its durable construction
The cookware-bakeware-lid is heavy, durable, and dishwasher safe, giving me peace of mind.
84% liked the excellent non-stick surface, but 16% experienced sticking issues
I was skeptical about the non-stick performance of the cookware-bakeware-lids, but after using it, I found that it worked well and the foam no longer escapes and makes a mess while cooking rice on high.
This cookware-bakeware-lid did not work well with sushi rice. The more glutinous rice creates a lot more foam, and because the center cap isn't attached to the lid, the steam and foam knocked the center cap out of place, letting out an excessive amount of steam.
The cookware-bakeware-lid is heavy-duty and sturdy.
