Question & Answers
Can you tell me what type of elastic is in the cord?
It looks like it is some type of black rubber, but I don't know what the material is, but it does seem to be pretty durable and doesn't lose its elasticity as easily as a lot of other elastics I have worked with.
I tried to burn the ends, but they were sticky and left a black stain. What is the best way to seal the cut ends of this cord?
To make sure you have a clean cut, I use a very sharp cutting heavy duty scissors. As soon as this is complete, lightly sing the end with a lighter or match...then you dip the end in either liquid goop (found at walmart or online) or in melted.
Does this come on a spool or in a tangled mess?
I needed 100 feet in one piece for my zero gravity chair, what I got was two 50 foot pieces taped in the middle.
I don't know if this is a continuous 100 feet. I'm running under the seam of a boat tarp and there isn't a place to tie two pieces together.
I don't know, it came on a spool so it looks like it is, but I wouldn't have purchased it if I'd read that.
