The game is suitable for kids as young as 10 and is rated for age 8+. My kids, age 13 and 15, had no problem jumping right in.

The gameplay experience is always unique as players draw roles with special abilities and the setup mechanic produces randomized locales of infection, epidemics, and near-outbreak. The occurrence of Epidemic cards is also randomized by shuffling, resulting in significant infection events happening at different stages each game.

The card quality is very nice with air cushioning, which should hold up well.
The quality of the materials is not good. I have faced the problem of cards peeling back and several others were starting to peel apart at the edges and others looked like they were about ready to go.
I am disappointed with the build quality of the board game. The plastic pieces are cheap and one of the connections on the board is missing.
I received a poor-quality plastic version of the game with cheap plastic tokens and half-visible printings, indicating a negative experience with the material quality of the board game.

The rulebook is great with clear writing that covers all the basic actions and special cases. It also includes several real game examples with detailed illustrations.
After playing along with the rulebook for the first game and following the examples, I found that the rules are very well outlined and easy to follow, although they seemed daunting at first.
Before playing the game, I should thoroughly read the lengthy rule book.
The genuine rulebook has a smooth and glossy finish, while the counterfeit one has a matte finish.
