About Hungry Hungry Hippos
Overall Feedback:
83% positive
73% found it suitable for all ages
The game is suitable for all ages and genders. I bought it for my 6 year old nephew to play with his 4 year old sister and even my 3 year old enjoys it.
I think the game is fun for my 4 year old, but it may be more suitable for a 2 or 3 year old.
I suggest that the game is not suitable for children younger than 3 or 4 years old due to the marbles.
69% appreciated the difficulty level, while 31% found it too easy or too hard
Even though I am college educated and mechanical, I found it hard and confusing to figure out how to put it together.
This version of the game is quite challenging to assemble and disassemble, even my children are unable to do it themselves.
I find the game difficult to play and frustrating.
71% praised the gentle learning curve
The game is easy to play and my 3-year-old understood the rules fairly quickly.
The game is a huge success and we play it all the time.
My toddler loves the game, indicating that it is easy to learn and enjoy for children.
76% praised the gameplay experience, while 24% found it too repetitive
The game was unplayable and a waste of time. The hippos did not fit easily into their slots, and the balls did not release into the arena as intended. When the hippos ate the balls, they got stuck inside them, making it difficult to count after the round was over. This experience was very frustrating and left me upset. I eventually threw the game away after playing it only once.
69% liked the high-quality components, but 31% found them flimsy
I noticed that the game materials seem to be of poor quality.
The plastic quality has declined over the years, resulting in misshapen and warped looking pieces (except for marbles).
The quality of the product has decreased over time and it is not as good as it was in the past.
I have complained that the plastic quality of the game is low and it does not make the same crisp clapping sound as before.
Rephrased: The plastic quality of the game is low and it does not make the same crisp clapping sound as before.
I am disappointed with the quality of the board game and now I am stuck trying to find an original one from the 90's.
The toy's quality is poor and it's like buying from a foreign street vendor.
67% appreciated the clear rulebook, while 33% found it confusing
The old game was one large piece, which implies that the rulebook clarity of our new game could be an issue.
The game is suitable for all ages and genders. I bought it for my 6 year old nephew to play with his 4 year old sister and even my 3 year old enjoys it.
The game comes in a sturdy box with all the pieces fitting in a nice and organized way, indicating good material quality.
