70% found the battery long-lasting, yet 30% reported unexpected drainage
The battery life is good, although I'm not sure if I've ever gotten 8 hours. But I do jam pretty hard. The speaker is also sleek and stylish.

77% appreciated the sound quality, but 23% were disappointed
I took the speaker to the garage or outback to do yard work and my neighbor complimented the sound quality coming from what he thought would be a much larger speaker.
The sound quality of this speaker is exceptional. Do we really need to care about audio quality when most of us are listening to crappy compressed audio off our iPhones? If we truly cared about audio quality, we would be on CDs or lossless or uncompressed audio. This device and most of our consumption is now about convenience over quality.
The sound quality is excellent for music, TV, movies and video games.
The HK speaker is great but the battery issue should have been resolved. I haven't done anything with the battery or sound for the last 7 years, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

The speaker is portable and punches above its weight, although it cannot compete with a subwoofer.
The Hyperboom speaker is still portable despite its larger size compared to smaller Roam type speakers from Sonos, etc.
Marshall Middleton is a good portable option, but it comes with a high price tag of $299.
A smaller Bose or JBL device with 80% of the volume and 20% of the heft would be more convenient for many people as I find the size and weight of this speaker to be less suitable.
