I found the Bluetooth connection so easy and intuitive that I couldn't say how the wired connection worked. I just had to turn on the power to the speaker and choose the device on which I wanted to connect the speaker.
I had difficulty connecting both speakers to the TV as the instructions were unclear. However, I realized that I had to pair the 2 speakers together before connecting them to the TV.
I was surprised by how quickly the speakers paired to each other and the phone, taking less than a second.
