I love the customizable Canon scanning application on Windows since I tend to scan a lot. I can pre-define where to save my files and in what format for some common presets.
The HP software is easier to use and has a feature of automatically separating each image into its own file when scanning multiple photos.
I used Alexa with my previous printer extensively and found it much easier to verbally dictate my shopping list and have Alexa print it.
The software that comes with it is not as good as the Epson.
