I believe the battery is leaking white/green foamy film, which I think is acid.
After using the batteries, I noticed a few leakages.
I noticed that the packaging was not sealed properly and the batteries were in the flap that folded over but was not sealed on the sides. They had slipped out of the bag and into the flap, but had not yet fallen out of the flap.
The new style of packaging is easy to open and I am a fan of it. Although, I usually destroy the package trying to open it and it is never easy to get the batteries out.
