I did not experience any leakage or quick battery drainage.
I noticed that the battery labels were peeling back and they became lumpy. I felt the heat coming off of them and immediately unplugged the charger, fearing it could continue to heat up until it began to melt or catch on fire.
Some of our batteries are leaking and white stuff is forming at the ends.
After charging the batteries, my self-leakages kill the charge in a matter of weeks.

The first 12 batteries lasted approximately 15 hours each before they went totally dead.
I used AAA batteries for my mouse but they did not last long. I switched to a set of two AAAs (Amazon Brand) for my new computer, bought about 4 months ago, and I am already on my third set of two. The longevity is very poor.
I have to replace the batteries every week even though the expiration date is good for another year. The longevity is terrible.
